The Indus River is in what modern country?
Mohenjo-daro and Harappa are the big archeological sites where the ancient Indus Valley cities have been discovered.
Note the Khyber Pass towards the top of the map. This pass through the mountains was the path taken by many invaders over time: Darius, Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Aryans, Persians, Mongols, and Muslims. It is a major supply route for US troops in Afghanistan right now.
