Removing Syrup Stain from Carpet

[ad_1]

Maple syrup, a sweet way to start your morning! Many families devour this sweet & sticky condiment for its taste and universal appeal! Maple syrup has been around for generations and is known for being difficult to remove from clothing, carpet and upholstery. Maple syrup is made from the sap of maple trees. As mentioned, maple syrup is consumed around and manufactured mostly by the United States and Canada. Maple syrup is mostly comprised of sucrose (sugar) and is thick and tacky until heated. Once heated, the sucrose breaks down into more of a liquid state and can be removed from materials easier. Here are some tips on removing maple syrup from carpet.

Things you will need:

5 Gallon Bucket
White Cloth (2)
Liquid Mild Detergent
Wet/Dry Vacuum
Hot Water

Follow these steps:

First, you need to fill the 5 gallon bucket with 1 gallon warm water and 2 teaspoons of mild detergent (mix well)

Second, submerge the white cloth into warm water (saturate thoroughly) and wring out some warm water solution directly onto the stained area. Next, place the white cloth directly on top of the stained area and rub gently in a circular motion...rub gently so you do not damage the carpet fiber.

Next, us the wet dry vacuum to extract the soiled solution from the stained area. Place suction hose directly onto the stained area until there is no more moisture left to remove. You need to continue this process until desired results are achieved. *Important, you need to make sure the syrup is completely removed or the stain will remain and continue to get darker with dirt build-up. You can also make the detergent solution stronger if needed. You might want to use 1 gallon of warm water mixed with 1/2 cup mild liquid detergent. Also, make sure to remove all of the soapy solution with the wet/dry vacuum and rinse with clean warm water. This will prevent dirt build-up from the soapy solution. Continue this process until desired results are achieved.
