Hrithik was extremely busy last year with his film, Krrish. Later, he was busy with (brother-in-law) Zayed and Fardeen's weddings. I could not get a date from him for my shoot. So I SMSed him, saying I would use a picture of him I had shot earlier in the year. But he didn't reply.
Later, I bumped into him at Fardeen's wedding. So I told him I would be using an older picture for my calendar. He said, 'no way' and wanted to do a fresh shoot.
Since it was already December 14, I told him my calendar needed to go to print. So right there, he fixed a day -- December 22, I think. His was the last shoot for the calendar.
For the shoot, we got this mesh of screws. Each screw was tied to the other with a metal wire. I had seen somewhere on the Internet. Here, You see only a part of the mesh. It is actually very long because I thought we would wrap Hrithik in this. It took us two days to get it made.
In my 2005 calendar we also had a bare-body picture of Hrithik. But that picture had a lot of aggression -- he was screaming out. Here, he's only standing, not even posing or showing off his muscles.
