How a Wickless Flameless Sootless Candle Company Has Changed our Lives

[ad_1]

When I look back to November 2006, I remember only one thing. How a short, but sincere conversation with my wife has changed our entire financial future.

It was some time after 7 pm when I returned home from work that evening. My wife, Alexis was sitting on the couch with our two small children watching TV. She was holding a catalog she had been given to her by a friend from church that day. Alexis recounted to me how her friend Christy shared with her a new business she was involved in and how her friend asked Alexis to talk to me when I returned home to see what I thought of the company and the products.

See now, I fancy myself on being somewhat of an expert on home-based businesses. My entire professional career has been working for and supporting the growth of direct selling companies. However, it wasn't until I saw the enthusiasm on my wife's face that I realized it didn't matter what the product or the company was, I needed to support my wife in something she really enjoys…and candles fit the bill. A home-based candle company was perfect for our family.

It has now been a little over a year now since my wife started her own home-based candle company and she is on "fire". The products sale themselves with their features. They are flameless, wickless candles that are completely safe with small children in the house. When Alexis started her own home-based business we didn't know where the U.S. economy was headed but we knew we needed to make more to catch up with our rising living expenses. And now that we are entering into a recession, we are seeing higher prices at the pumps and utility bills that seem to jump 10% each year. Nevertheless, we have discovered that we made our home recession proof with our home-based business.

When the economy begins to take a downturn, most everyone is faced with the dilemma to tighten their purse strings, downsize their lifestyle or look to pick up additional streams of income. Robert Kiyosaki stated at the February 23, 2008 SUCCESS Symposium in Dallas, Texas the following in regards to how poor people and rich people react to increasing their income - Poor people look to find an another job and Rich people look to start a new business.

What better way is there to achieve additional tax breaks, have flexible hours, keep 100% of what you earn, and choose what activities you want to do that day?

You too can make your home recession proof with a home-based candle company.
